Educational Requirements

To enter into an Electroneurophysiology Technology program, a high school diploma with an emphasis on English, math, physics, chemistry and biology is a great start. A prerequisite program in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is also required. Individuals wishing to enter this field should be interested in the welfare of people and have an aptitude for physics, and electrical and mechanical apparatuses.

The program is offered at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and is two years long, full-time, beginning in September of every second year (even numbered years only). After a period of work experience in a clinical situation, graduates are eligible to write the Technologist Registration examinations of the appropriate certifying body in their chosen fields of interest. Graduates generally find employment in the diagnostic departments of hospitals.
